Ecotoxicology is a long standing well developed discipline at Brixham. The Ecotoxicology team, of 15 scientists, work in an area with 23 laboratories and a husbandry facility. These ‘state of the art’ high specification facilities offer instant room water control able to dial up any salinity and temperature, and room temperature control. We manage all customer needs effectively and efficiently, and are able to tailor make and design the solutions as required, this is balanced with the regular successful delivery of regulatory studies.
At Brixham Environmental Laboratory we consider customer relations and service critical but equal to scientific excellence. In support of these interactions we believe reliability, diligence and quality are paramount to a good service, generation of appropriate endpoints and a successful final product.
Our staff actively participate in and follow the revision process of many international guidelines. We have individuals who represent Brixham Environmental Laboratory as Experts on the OECD working groups, individuals on the shadow working groups, involvement in the ISO guideline production and BSI representatives. This ensures Brixham Environmental Laboratory is best placed to have the latest information to relay to our customers and as a team we are scientifically best placed to influence and comment on guideline production where applicable.
