Air stone in Husbandry Unit of Brixham Environmental Laboratory

A wide range of freshwater and marine species can be used for both acute (OECD 203) and chronic testing (e.g. OECD 210, OECD 212, OECD 215). Brixham Environmental Laboratory has a great deal of experience in the successful operation of complex, long-term tests such as embryo-larval, partial life cycle and full fish life cycle studies. Where test concentrations cannot be maintained using static tests, flow-through conditions are adopted to minimise loss by hydrolysis, photolysis or volatilisation.

The Laboratory also offers the Amphibian metamorphosis assay (OECD 231).
