Plant Protection Products
Introduction
Brixham Environmental Laboratory has worked extensively for the plant protection products industry for over 30 years, generating both ecotoxicological and environmental fate data. As well as working directly with agrochemical companies, the laboratory also works on behalf of consultancies who are preparing registration or re-registration submissions.
Study Capability
The laboratory can provide all of the laboratory-based aquatic effects and environmental fate studies required for registration of new and existing products. The studies can be conducted according to the relevant guidelines such as the EU (Directive 91/414/EEC), OECD, US EPA and Japanese Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry (METI).
At the higher tiers, risk assessments often require specially designed studies. Staff at the laboratory work closely with the client to ensure the study is fit-for-purpose within the risk assessment.
