  • Occupational Hygiene Air Monitored Analytical Services

“Industrial hygiene is concerned with the prevention of ill-health from work, through recognizing, evaluating and controlling the risks”

Exposure to chemicals and active pharmaceutical ingredients is one of the greatest risks posed to workers within the industry.  An occupational exposure limit or standard defines the amount or concentration of a substance in the work environment to which employees may be exposed during a specified period.  This is legally enforced and, as part of a health risk assessment, air exposure levels in the workplace must be measured reliably and precisely to show that suitable controls are in place and are effective.

At Brixham Environmental Laboratory we can offer the following air monitored sample analysis service:

·         Guidance and advice for sample storage (in the field and during transportation)

·         Development and validation of a method to BS EN 482:2006

·         Analysis will be performed by a scientist trained to British Occupational Hygiene Society standards

·         2 day turnaround for sample analysis

Results presented in a format suitable for a health risk assessment in the workplace.

The cost for this service will be dependent on the numbers of samples to be tested and the turnaround time required.
